The planet
We measure our environmental impact
At Koopress, we respond to the challenges of the modern world. Our goals are associated with sustainable development, and the Planet is a key pillar of this strategy. It is a set of actions and measures that allow for monitoring the company’s impact on the environment and taking actions to protect it.
We monitor closely emissions of greenhouse gases – CO2 and methane – and we adjust them to comply with the goals set in the Paris Agreement on climate. We realise that global warming is one of the main challenges faced by mankind, which is why we consistently take actions aimed at protecting the climate.
We also place great emphasis on sensitivity and environmental awareness at our company. We act responsibly, and we try to minimise negative environmental impact by analysing the interference in ecosystems. This helps us to respond swiftly and to take appropriate measures to reduce any negative impact.
Monitoring water intake and consumption is another element. We take regular actions aimed at saving it, e.g. we apply modern watering solutions and reduce its consumption in manufacturing processes. We strive to minimise the negative impact on water resources and take measures aimed at protecting them.
Nowadays, energy saving has become not only an economic, but mainly an environmental issue. With the development of civilisation and growing electricity consumption, it has become necessary to seek new, more sustainable methods for generating and using it.
At Koopress, we have introduced a range of innovative solutions, such as a photovoltaic system, owing to which we reduce the annual CO2 emissions by 22,301 kg. We also use a heat recovery system and an astronomical clock which controls the external lighting adjusting the electricity consumption to the season of the year. Moreover, we organise cyclical training for our staff to raise their awareness concerning effective energy use.
Our actions lead to reduced energy consumption, decreasing the negative impact of our activities on the ecosystem in which we all live.
